There are Plenty of Things to Do in Kansas City
If you love traveling and are looking for an exciting city to visit, there is not a better choice than Kansas City, Missouri. Kansas City is filled with attractions that everyone will love. The list of things to see in the city is far too long for one article, so we've narrowed it down to some of our favorites.
Power and Light District
The Power and Light District is an entertainment center located in downtown, and it is the home of some of the best restaurants and live entertainment venues in the city. The main area of the Power and Light District is Kansas City Live, which holds more than ten restaurants and entertainment venues. The Mainstreet Movie Theater and the Midland Theatre can also be found in the Power and Light District. The Mainstreet Theater is six-screen Movie Theater that shows newly released films. Midland Theatre is a 3,500 seat venue that holds concerts, plays and stand-up comedy shows throughout the year.
Isle of Capri Kansas City
Kansas City is a great place to visit for gamblers. The Isle of Capri Kansas City features over 1,000 of the latest slot machines and dozens of table games to choose from on the casino floor. The Isle of Capri Kansas City has a different promotion every day to make sure you always want to come back. In addition to great gambling options, the casino also has live entertainment every Friday and Saturday.
Negro Leagues Baseball Museum
The Negro Leagues had a major impact on the sport of baseball, and their history is celebrated at the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas City. The museum was first opened in 1990 after it was founded by several former Negro League baseball players. The museum displays the history of the sport through several interactive exhibits. The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum is best known for its Field of Legends exhibit. The exhibit holds life-size bronze statues of 12 of the best players in the history of the sport including Cool Papa Bell and Josh Gibson.
Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art
If you want to see one of the best art collections in the United States when you visit Kansas City, then you have to go to the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. While the museum has pieces of art from around the world, it is best known for its collection of Asian art. The Bloch Building is also one of the most beautiful pieces of architecture you will ever see, which helped it get named one of The 10 Best (New and Upcoming) Architectural Marvels by TIME magazine.
